The Robot and Artificial Intelligence Museum (RAIM) located in Seoul, South Korea is a 79,652 square foot design that will symbolize a catalytic role in the future of architecture, science, and technology throughout society to manifest Robots and Artificial intelligence in an innovative way.

Melike Altinisik Architects won an international competition to design the Seoul Robot and Artificial Intelligence Museum. The competition, hosted by The Seoul Metropolitan Government, called for ideas to design the world's first pioneer Robot & Artificial Intelligence Museum to support public education in robotics and increase the public knowledge and interests in robots. Melike Altinisik Architects’ design process positioned and highlighted the Robot and Artificial Intelligence Museum’s role in advancing and promoting science, technology, and innovation throughout society by not only exhibiting robots, but actually constructing robots on site. The Robot and Artificial Intelligence Museum is one of the buildings in the center of the renovation area known as "the Changbai New Economic Center,” which is going to be a Cultural Center for Chang-dong in the northern part of Seoul linked to the Photographic Art Museum (PAM), which is located next to RAIM.

Role: Lead Design Development Specialist 

Developed the winning concept design alongside the principal architect for the Robot and Artificial Intelligence Museum international competition in collaboration with the principal architect, including ideating the museum’s position as pioneer in the industry by being the first building to use robotic construction methodology, which is regarded as the future of construction. After winning the competition, oversaw the expansion of Melike Altinisik Architects in Seoul to execute contracts on behalf of MAA and lead the design process and opportunities of the project, including a contract with the Seoul metropolitan government for the artistic curation and interior exhibition design. Responsible for sourcing the local architectural firm for the project, Withworks, which is one of the most famous local architectural firms in Seoul, who we have collaborated with for critical design aspects of the project. Responsible for handling and curating the visual display of artworks for the project’s hologram.
